Tell us a bit about your role as a professional athlete.
I am a professional mountain biker and I compete in Slopestyle and Freeride events around the world.
What do you do to stay healthy?
To stay healthy I eat natural foods, as well as regular fitness and stretching practices. A lot of time on my bike and a positive attitude are the main factors to my success.
What does training look like for you?
I don’t view it as training, but as a lifestyle. It’s a mixture of healthy living, staying flexible through yoga, visualizing my goals, and putting the hours in on my bike.
How do you take time for yourself when it comes to mental and physical recovery?
Injuries have taught me a lot about recovery and slowing down, as it isn’t something that comes naturally to me. Staying mentally strong through walking in nature to meditation has helped.
BEST moment of 2022 (whether that's in-competition, mentoring, community work, personal, etc)
Making the decision to make Canada my home was a highlight for me. Being able to compete and live in such a beautiful place has been a dream come true. Meeting my girlfriend gave more meaning creating goals together.
Upcoming season/events/competitions
This year I will be competing in slopestyle at Big White, Silverstar, and some events at Crankworx Innsbruck and Whistler. Maybe more to come.
How does Breathe Fitness help you?
Classes at Breathe have helped me in many ways. From challenging myself to push my limit in Tiff’s fitness classes, to being forced to slow down and move mindfully in Becki’s yoga sessions. I always come out feeling more grounded and myself.
